ALVIS SILVEREAGLE 16-95 HOLBROOK SPORTS SALOON 1936

Alvis remains famous for its exemplary engineering in many fields, including that of motor cars, aero engines and military vehicles. It was the first manufacturer in the world to produce an all synchromesh gearbox an innovative feature with which this Silver Eagle is equipped. Known to the Alvis Owners Club for several decades, this sporting saloon retains many of its original features which are still in working order, such as the sunroof, opening windscreen and the Pye model 824 wireless radio. We understand that recent maintenance to the Alvis has included the relining of the brakes, refurbishment of the Hobsons teenage, rechroming of the wheel spinners, underbody waxoyling, new 12v Battery and the installation of an oil filled Runbaken High Output coil. This interesting motor car participated in the 80th Anniversary of the Silver Eagle tour to Northern Spain in October 2009, an event organised by the Alvis Owners Club. The Huge history file contains correspondence, invoices, the Pye wireless instructions, a workshop manual, the V5C registration certificate and a sheath of previous MOT test certificates. This elegant motor car is also supplied with its original toolkit. Driving wonderfully the Alvis will be sold with PDI - MOT - Tax and Full Service. A classic British car and an appreciating asset.
