MERCEDES 230 SL PAGODA 1965 - 81,000 miles FULLY RESTORED !

First registered in April 1965 hence tax exemption, this particular 230SL has the desirable 4-speed manual gearbox and looks particularly stunning in Gold with a Black vinyl interior and matching Black hardtop. The car has a wealth of documents and history including MOTs from 1987, and all receipts for work carried out since that time including restoration and full engine rebuild (18,000 miles ago)including a stainless steel exhaust system with bills totalling over 20,000. It has covered some 81,000 miles in the hands of just six owners one of whom was Maurice Webb of Mercedes renowned specialists 'Silchester Garage'. Although everyone assumes that the bigger engined 280 must be the SL to have, those in the know will tell you that the 230 is actually a nicer car to drive being virtually as quick but noticeably smoother and lighter with more nimble handling. Upon purchase the car will be Fully Serviced, MOT'd and Waxoyled for underbody protection. A true and correct car at sensible money and also being an appreciating piece of motoring history.
